چکیده

Abstract The forecast analysis of the exposure to contamination risk in a water distribution network requires increasing quality applied input/outputs modeling. This need involves using non-traditional models responding increasingly high computation requirements. In this scenario, Cellular Automata paradigm represents new frontier with considerable potential. Specifically, paper describes Eulerian Water quAlity Modeling—Cellular (EWAM-CA) model, aimed at simulating sodium hypochlorite (chlorine) injection, transport, and reaction phase medium-sized drinking network. EWAM-CA accuracy was compared Epanet software on Fossolo network, Bologna town (Italy), considering constant an impulsive input respectively. Due CA's intrinsic aptitude for parallel computing, version developed. Moreover, capability cellular automata manage modeling asynchronously, improving computational efficiency, we propose novel approach based activation/deactivation asynchronous rules, avoiding unnecessary calculations nodes or pipes where no pollution occurs. different versions were case study, coupled functionality significantly improved performance.

A Novel Approach for Detecting Relationships in Social Networks Using Cellular Automata Based Graph Coloring

All the social networks can be modeled as a graph, where each roles as vertex and each relationroles as an edge. The graph can be show as G = [V;E], where V is the set of vertices and E is theset of edges. All social networks can be segmented to K groups, where there are members in eachgroup with same features. In each group each person knows other individuals and is in touch ...

Trihalomethane formation potential in drinking water from Minab Steghlal dam to water distribution network in Bandar Abbas, Iran

Introduction: Organic matters enter to drinking water from a variety of sources, but one of the major sources of these compounds in aqueous solution can be decomposed plant and microbial residues. Chlorination is the most common method for water disinfection, the free chlorine in the water reacts with natural organic compounds and form disinfection byproducts. One of the dangerous byproducts is...

Guidelines for Drinking-water Quality

398 Nitrate and nitrite Nitrate (NO 3 ) is found naturally in the environment and is an important plant nutrient. It is present at varying concentrations in all plants and is a part of the nitrogen cycle. Nitrite (NO 2 ) is not usually present in significant concentrations except in a reducing environment, as nitrate is the more stable oxidation state. It can be formed by the microbial reductio...

IARC classified PCP in Group 2B (possibly carcinogenic to humans) on the basis of inadequate evidence of carcinogenicity in humans but sufficient evidence in e xperimental animals. There is suggestive, although inconclusive, evidence of the carcinogenicity of PCP from epidemiological studies of populations exposed to mixtures that include PCP. Conclusive evidence of carcinogenicity has been obt...
